We want to help you succeed in every aspect of your experience at DU. Research tells us that students who live on campus are more likely to stay in college, graduate on time and make closer connections with faculty and other students.

For these reasons, the University of Denver has a two-year live-in requirement for first and second year students under the age of 21 who do not live with a parent or legal guardian within a 90-minute radius of the university. These students will need to select an on-campus option (Centennial Halls or Johnson-McFarlane Hall).

Housing and Residential Education at DU is an enriching experience enjoyed by a wide variety of students, and not just undergraduates. Students over 21 years of age, transfer students in at least their 3rd year of study and graduate students alike benefit from the campus-wide commitment to working and growing together.

We have worked hard to provide options that fit individual lifestyles at each phase of the academic experience. As students change and develop we will be there with options like our Centennial Towers suites or on-campus apartments for juniors, seniors, graduates, law school and graduate tax students, so whether a student is just joining us or returning to the DU community it soon becomes obvious that on-campus housing has a place for them.
