Dining OptionsSodexho - Our Campus Food Service Provider If you are a first-year or sophomore resident or live in Johnson-McFarlane or Centennial Halls, you'll need to choose from either the Mt. Evans meal plan or the Echo Lake meal plan. The Mt. Evans and Echo Lake plans provide a certain number of meals and a set amount of meal plan cash on your card each quarter. Students who do not fall into the above categories can also choose to pay for a meal plan. The Lookout Mountain (Apartment/Commuter) Meal Plan is ideal for those
upper-division and graduate students who have access to a kitchen but
desire the convenience of being able to eat occasionally in a residence
hall cafeteria or other retail outlets on campus without worrying about
having pocket cash on hand. The "meal" portion of your plan is good for all-you-care-to-eat meals at the cafeterias in Centennial Halls and Nelson Hall. The "meal plan cash" portion is good for purchasing food items in the convenience stores in Centennial Halls and Johnson-McFarlane Hall; in the Driscoll University Center Commons, Newman Center Cart, Daniels Cafe, Olin Hall's Cafe à la Cart, Ben Cherrington Hall's Gilbert Cyber Cafe, Sturm College of Law Cafe, and Sidelines Pub. This combination of meals and meal plan cash gives you the flexibility to decide when, where, what, and how much you want to eat. No plan is designed to function so that you will be able to eat every meal of the quarter with just meals or just meal plan cash. However, before the eighth week of the quarter, you can convert meals to meal plan cash or vice versa at the rate of $3.50 meal plan cash = one meal. This option covers you in case you find you are using more of your meals or more of your meal plan cash than you had planned. You will need to budget the use of your meals and meal plan cash throughout the quarter, because you lose whatever you don't use. Changing from one meal plan to another is only allowed on specific meal plan change dates. Meal Plan Rates for Fall 2007 to Spring 2008
